Three of my siblings, two brothers-in-law, one of my nieces, and I gathered in PA, where our little sis, Gretchen, and her husband Brian had recently moved into their new home. It is tucked into a sweet neighborhood surrounded by trees and the sounds of birds singing—the perfect setting to savor every minute together.

Getting together at the same time and place is a rare opportunity given our geographic locations, time, and full schedules. Sadly, our brother Neil and Sister-in-Law were out of town at the time, and ironically, they only live 10 minutes from Gretchen and Brian.
An unexpected bonus was that Nicole asked me to teach her how to use a camera that had been given to her Mom, my little sis, Gretchen. Nicole is an artist, a creator, and a FAST learner. I asked her if she’d please try out her newfound skills and take family photos of us. Given that I’m usually making the photos, I’m not often in them. Here you will see that Nicole can add photographer to her list of gifts.

With all of our parents gone, we are now the Elders of the family. I’m sure many of you can relate! Isn’t it a weird feeling??!
Life is precious. Some of my family members have had some intense health challenges, and we’re all too aware that time is precious. We’re also well aware that each moment truly is a gift.

Will your family be together in the next month? Does your High School Senior need yearbook photos? Are your children going off to College or perhaps in town briefly for a visit?? Do you need new professional photos? Or, perhaps you are newly engaged and want a sweet studio photo to send out an announcement. Whatever moments you wish to document, I’d love to be your chosen photographer at Studio 800.
Because family photos are so precious, I’m offering 15% off all sittings between now and August 31st. Call, text, or email to set up your photo session at Studio 800! 303-520-9587 • katytartakoff@gmail.com Can’t wait to see you!
As always, please know you matter to me. I’m beyond blessed and grateful for the years you’ve been coming in from generation to generation.
Love and hugs.
Katy
